Travis: lets get to it
Nacho: okay
Travis: i suck at math please help me
Nacho: okay okay
Nacho: Simplify n+3 -5n+12
Travis: 8n+15?
Nacho: no buahahah
Travis: haha?
Nacho: the answer is -4n+15
Travis: how did you get that?
Nacho: I boxed up -5n and added N and then i added 3 and 12 which gave me 15, so the answer I got is -4n+15
Travis: I see now
Nacho: want another question? But it's distributive now
Travis: okay
Nacho: whats the answer to 2 + 4 (3n +8)
Travis: 14 + 3n?
Nacho: haha. you . fail
Travis: whats the answer then smart guy?
Nacho: I did the ones with the brackets first, so 4 is touching the brackets which mean we multiply. Now were doing distributive property, so we need to multiply 4 and 3n which equals 12n. Well get back to that later, now we multiply 4 and 8 which equals 24 and then we add the 2 in the beginning so the answer we should get is 12n + 26
Travis: Oh okay that helps a lot, Thanks!
