SCRIBE POST

Yesterday in math we made math poems. There were subjects each poem had to be. These subjects were adding integers , subtracting integers , partitive division , quotative division and the rule ( Ron's rule or pratt's law ) . There were alot of types of poems. Such as cinquain , haiku , tanka and diamante.

An example of a poem for adding integers is :

5 syllables-Adding Integers
7 syllables-Integers have their own rules
5 syllables-You use zero pairs
7 syllables-Positives and negatives
7 syllables-Grab the air , get zero pairs

This type of poem was the Tanka.
The way we had to this was 5 different subjects with other types of poem styles.

Another Example is the Haiku for subtracting integers.

5 syllables-Never subtracting
7 syllables-Positive or negative
5 syllables-Add the opposite

There was some poems done in pictures like the mirror one because the reflection of the writing was reflect on the other side. But Ms. Hay wanted us to make the mirror one into the shape of the subject we were going . For example, if you did the addicting integers it would have to be in the shape of a plus or positive sign (+). If you did the subtracting integers poem in mirror it would be the negative or subtracting sign (-).

Another thing we got to do was free verse which was a poem you got to make by yourself. Free style is another way of explaining it. For example,

Kyle's integer rap :
Integers may be very rough
That's if you don't study it gets very tough
Just use PRATT'S LAW if you're wasting your time
Use a negative, positive or equal sign.
To me Pratt's law is the very best.
If you don't belive me use it on a test.
And then you'll finally see your mark.
Then you know that you are smart.

Chorus:
Integers are so great.
You will learn in school if you don't come late. (Nicko )
So don't be afraid to put your hands in the sky.
There is no wrong answer , that's not a lie.

and nice Free Style Poem. :) I like how it rhymes. Haha! Now.. let's look for mistakes.. Well, you forgot some other poems too. Like the picture poem, and Free Verse Poem. But, that's all I can see. Oh, and maybe you should have added sites.. to help some of your classes or 'fellow schoolmates' out! Haha, believe me. :) Harbeck suggested it to me a while ago. :P Good job though Kyle! Keep up the good work.
